Gutsy, Balsy, Cringeworthy Hilarity
The last time I saw a bouffon show was at the 2008 fringe (Bouffon Glass Menagerie.) I know a bit about the art form and it is SO hard to do well. You have to constantly dance between going too far and not far enough, shining a mirror and outright offending, all while being crude and funny as hell. These three performers managed that difficult feat gloriously! They took risks. They called me out on my shit and I loved it! Provocative theater at it's best!
