Storytelling from unique perspectives
There was singing/flute playing, stand up, impassioned monologues, dance. Each showcasing everyone’s talent and point of view. The theme was coming of age. Each of the performers told a story through their performance that spoke to their own life stories in a truly universal way. Shout out to Kaz, Houa, Carole, and Charelle for turning their vulnerable coming of age stories into moments of celebration and joy. Gretchen, Christy, and Ileri brought themselves wholly into their coming of age stories, and let us feel we were taking the journey with them. I wish I could see the other themes and what everyone brings each night. Kaleidoscope offers so many different points of view!
