Best of the Fringe
This was my 12th or 13th show at the Fringe this year, I think, and was by far the best of them all! Very moving, wonderfully acted. No happy ending here, but so raw and real.

We think we've come so far ...
Good script, though I think it could have been shorter (it runs 50 minutes), as it kind of rehashes the same issues over and over again. But the actors playing Harvey Milk and Billy Sipple were quite strong, as was the dialogue. It doesn't seem to some of us of a certain age that those times were so long ago, and yet it almost seems like forever ago, back when we were hopeful that things would get better and that our culture and government would bend the arc towards justice and equal rights.

Very good
This play was well-acted, and yes, it is still relevant today, unfortunately. The sound effects and the movements of the actors meant that the simple set of just two seats was all that was needed to depict a train car; very creative. My one criticism was that it was often hard to make out the dialogue, especially of the conductor. I don't usually have any problem with accents, but I was having a hard time hearing or following the dialogue. It did help that there was closed captioning, so I could glance at that when I needed to, and I noticed others around me doing the same.

Moving
This was my first experience seeing Third Space and I will know to look for them again. I loved the choreography and creativity of the piece. As others have said, it might be able to use a bit more character development, but they only have 60 minutes, guys, and they had to pack a lot of story into that. I didn't find it to be lacking and it flowed very well. They used their props so effectively to depict not only a place, but a feeling, and the deer was a superb rendition.

Show: Empty Nest

On point
Having sent two kids off to college and now living in an empty nest, I could totally relate to this one (though now my nest has been empty for quite a while, and it's kinda nice!). They performed this with empathy, humor and honesty. I loved every minute of it, and so did my mom, and we got to reminisce about my own drop off at college and the emptier nest of my parents. This one deserves a really big audience!

Great Show!
I loved this show! Great concept of past meets present and present learns from past (how novel is that these days?). I loved that this show was so local at the same time that it was so national. And bravo for getting some of our actual state representatives to be a part of the show.

Beautiful voices and band
The performers' music, both singing and playing, was great. I liked the topic and the gist of the story. Would have liked the story to have a little more depth in terms of the content regarding the need for Health Care for All. This was preaching to the choir, but other than demonstrating the evilness of the insurance industry (and I couldn't agree more), it didn't address all of the reasons that our elected officials can't seem to give the majority of Americans what we want and need: affordable health care for all, and health care as a basic human right. The insurance industry is certainly at fault, but so are our elected representatives and our Supreme Court, who allow lobbyists and PACs to have limitless influence and the populace to have none.

So much fun!
I just loved that the performers ranged in age from single digits to senior citizens! This show was very creative, high energy and a delight! The hour flew by as the performers flew by, whether in tap shoes or hanging from the trapeze or cartwheeling across the stage. Bravo!

Ari Hoptman is always a great entertainer, and here he entertains us with the etymology of words. Fast-paced, he doesn't use a teleprompter because he knows what he's talking about, and he presents it with a good dose of humor. This show was fun and quick-witted.

Very Creative
Such a creative rendering of Watership Down. Wonderful staging, acting, choreography and music. It really was a joy to watch. Good thing this one is in a large venue because everyone will want to see it.
