A total joy! A total delight!
A show from a puppeteer who genuinely knows play and how to play — top-notch puppetry, an absolute delight from start to finish. Charming, funny, full of joy and heart. And so funny! I can't wait to go back and see the other choices! We loved Turtle Boy so much. A must-see.

I was onboard(ed) for Space Company!!
High-energy, hilarious, playful, totally committed — Emma's clown work is out of this world. The show swings from absurd corporate mockery to a genuinely touching turn as Mother Earth, and both parts work. Fun games, funny jokes, a total blast — highly, highly recommended.
Company: DOLLY WHO?
Show: DOOZY
Venue: Open Eye Theatre
a fun and charming show about friendship
Putting aside the wonderful and moving story -- I'll get to that in a moment. Doozy would be worth the ticket price to see just as an installation -- the visual design and craft of ALL the puppets, ALL the props, ALL the backdrops and set pieces -- I loved the suit that Doozy puppeteer wore. Doozy is an incredible character, Dolly is too. I love the Twilight Zone vibe, both in the story and in the black and white design. Really funny. Really charming. Super duper fun
Company: Third Space Theater
Show: BE NOT AFRAID
Venue: The Southern Theater
Fear not -- and do not miss -- Be Not Afraid
As an out of towner, I was delighted to see the gorgeous, vigorous, unsettling work that the Third Space Theatre is doing. All the technical elements were phenomenal. Visually incredible. The angels and the deer were marvelous. I loved the gothic, cosmic, biblical imagery in the language and the stagecraft. It was scary! There were actual jump scares in this!! They got me. The incredible young cast were captivating. One of the best things I’ve seen at this or any fringe this year.
Company: New Product Company
Show: Brakkesyke
Venue: Theatre in the Round
Taut, tense, a timely play about permanent war
I was pulled right into the narrative straightaway. The writing was terrific. A story never so obscure as to lose you, but also twisty and mysterious enough to keep me interested. Plenty of tension. Beautiful and masterful performances from all 3actors.
