Show: FAST Death of a Salesman

TLDR
Superb work from the entire Alleged team here. A special shoutout to the ensemble character, who was especially hilarious with their smart use of physical acting. I have not stopped thinking about some of their choices, and I can’t wait to see what they do at their last show. The same goes for the actor playing Willy, who brought out the heart of Chris Farley in some of his scenes. It’s a rare thing these days to see someone doing somersaults on stage. The actor playing Linda did a fantastic job during the pantomime in the beginning and in keeping the show grounded throughout. Excellent work from her. The two playing the children were extremely funny, and it’s clear why the auctioneer is a fan favorite. They did a great job wearing their heart on their sleeve for the great city of Baltimore. The other brother was still so funny, and I applaud the actor for taking an overused stereotypical character and making them feel fresh, bringing something new to the table. Last but not least, the actor playing Dr. Didier did it with such grace that you started to sympathize with this absurd, stuck up professor. This is a must-watch.

Silver Surfer: A Brand New Day
An immensely poignant look at how easy it is for someone who is hurting to grapple onto pop culture as a form of comfort, to relate their experiences to something that isn’t real and imagine what could have been done differently. This was right up my alley and was surprisingly relatable. It’s always a beautiful thing to see a performance where you can step into someone else’s shoes and truly feel seen. Jake absolutely knocked it out of the park in every aspect. Thank you, Jake, for making this and reminding all of us silver surfers that we’re stronger than we believe.
