OODLES of fun!!!!
This production is a joy to behold from the first snip. Castrati brilliantly walks the line between gleeful gags and a genuinely compelling character arc. It had me giggling at the wordplay and ridiculousness one minute and then unexpectedly moved the next. The lead delivers a fantastic performance, commanding the stage with her dazzling vocals and infectious presence. The grandma is also incredible. The writing and lyrics are hilarious, the band is excellent, and the songs are so good I'm already hoping to get the chance to hear them again. My least favorite part was when I realized it was over. Charming, exuberant, and completely delightful.
