Hopeful but missed the mark
I stumbled into this show somewhat by accident, but I was intrigued to see where it would go. The performers did a good job explaining what bipolar disorder is and how it may appear to others. I did feel there was a missed opportunity to discuss how easily it can be misdiagnosed, particularly given how many of its symptoms overlap with other conditions—something that could have added even more educational value. Given the significant suicide risk associated with bipolar disorder, some of the jokes didn’t quite land for me. Similarly, a joke involving medication could potentially be interpreted differently than intended by audience members who are less familiar with psychiatric treatment. That said, I was really encouraged by the emphasis on therapy, medication management, and trusting your partner—particularly in a piece centered on men and mental health. With a bit of tightening and refinement, I think this could become a really effective piece that manages to be both lighthearted and genuinely educational.

Amazing Experience!
Melancholics Anonymous always delivers a great show, but this one absolutely blew me away! The staging was beautiful, the comedy was used to great effect, and Bee’s music tied everything together in such a lovely way. I was especially impressed by how successfully they adapted such a full, complex book into a 60-minute production—although I certainly wouldn’t have complained about another 30 minutes. This production sets an incredibly high bar for the rest of the Fringe. Not to be missed!

Fun Mario Show
An entertaining and funny adaptation on the Mario movie and definitely more fun! The songs are wonderfully silly, and they work because the actors fully commit to every ridiculous moment. I was laughing throughout the entire show. Cute show to bring kids to.

Queer Adaptation
An interesting take on the classic *Cyrano* story. Lang does a great job embracing the queer role and making the character feel authentic. Because the production was performed in the round, there were times when it was difficult to hear the actors, particularly when they were moving quickly with their backs to parts of the audience while speaking in accents. The pacing also felt a little rushed in places, but considering they condensed such a long story into just 55 minutes, that was understandable. Overall, an enjoyable and creative adaptation.
