Powerful show!
This was an amazing show and, as someone who was a responder and on quite a few calls with the author of the play, can confirm how accurately he portrays what occurred. Fair warning, especially if you were involved in the resistance, the play can be triggering. But these stories need to be told and heard and plays like this serve an important purpose. I would highly encourage everyone to see this

Excellent first show
If Dawn had not stated that this was her first Fringe show, I would have never guessed. She was confident, entertaining and has lead an incredible life. Cathartic is probably the word that comes to mind most prominently for this show as Dawn articulates the frustrations that many of us are feeling and living during this administration. I took off a half star for the end because I thought, while she looked amazing, the last sequence was a bit unnecessary. I do hope this will not be the only show she contributes to the Fringe as Dawn is an excellent storyteller with a great perspective. Highly recommended

Funny and Poignant
Jason is a wonderful storyteller. I laughed so hard throughout this show until the rather poignant ending, which was beautiful. The music, both before and during the show, was a lot of fun as well
Company: Mermaid Productions
Show: The Importance of Living
Venue: Open Eye Theatre
Devilishly entertaining
At turns suspenseful, comedic and occasionally downright horrifying, this play was a surprise and a delight. The actors are excellent and the story, which has some unexpected twists, is compelling. Highly recommended
