I laughed. I cried. Damnit, I don’t cry.
Last Human on Earth is my favorite Scot Froelich show yet. The mix of music and monologue is perfect - funny, thoughtful, a little weird, and then suddenly far more moving than you were prepared for. I was doing just fine. Laughing. Enjoying the show. Thinking about what it really means to have everything you ever wanted if you have no one to share it with. And then the show hit its crescendo. That last song. Bastard did it again. There I was with actual tears in my eyes. I. Don’t. Cry. Funny, poignant, beautifully performed, and the kind of show that follows you out of the theater and keeps you thinking afterward. If you have a chance to catch Last Human on Earth at Minnesota Fringe, do it.
