Kayla Hambek
Kate/PlaywrightKayla (she/her) is excited to return to Minnesota Fringe for the third time (second as a producer!). Kayla is a nationally-produced playwright and actor recently seen around the Twin Cities in Three Sisters (Olga, Theatre Pro Rata), last Fringe's Defibrilator (Lasagna Mom, Justice Theatre Consortium), and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley (Mrs. Reynolds, Lyric Arts). Kayla's work has been performed in the Twin Cities by Aethem Theatre (Miss Woodhouse Presents, Persuasion, Workshop), Strange Theatre (Ace of Dates), and Threshold Theater (The Dragonflies), and across the country with Town and Country Players (Emma Abridged, Christmastown), Transformation Theatre (The Dragonflies), the University of Portland (Emma Abridged), and many more. When not theatre-ing, Kayla can be found in Eden Prairie watching the birds with her cats or making cool stuff for a medical device company in St. Louis Park.
Danielle Krivinchuk
Eric/Genetic Counselor/OthersEmma Paquette
Nicki/Support Group Leader/OthersEmma Paquette was born and raised in Minnesota. She spent a couple years touring the states with various children's theatre companies, but has found her way back to her home state where she continues to expand her theatre career. She was recently seen as Francesca in Eden Prairie Player's production of "Save Hamlet!" and has been increasing her directing credits with "Winnie the Pooh" at Locally Grown Theatre, as well as "Missed Disconnections" in EPP's Women's One Acts. She is incredibly thankful to Kayla for writing this beautiful play about grief and inviting her to be a part of it. She wants to thank you for your support and hopes you enjoy the show!
Sher U-F
Mom/Therapist/OthersSher is a character actor in the Twin Cities who somehow weaseled her dumbass into a helluva Fringe show. Most recently, Sher grouched across the stage as Sister Mary Lazarus (Sister Act, Lyric Arts).
Courtney VonVett
NarratorCourtney is thrilled to be back with the Minnesota Fringe Festival! She first performed in 2023 with [un]qualified theatre’s production of “The Invisible Man” and is incredibly honored to be part of “Grief: it’s What’s for Dinner”. Courtney has performed around the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, including Lyric Arts and Lakeshore Players Theatre. She’ll also begin her first year as a member of See Change Treble Choir this coming fall. She dedicates each and every performance of this show to her mom, Mary, who she sees in each bird that flies in front of her path.
