Keep Producer Fees Low & Fringe Festival Accessible to All

Freedom of expression is under threat - and Minnesota Fringe is feeling the pressure. Rising costs and shrinking public funding puts this important platform for bold, uncensored storytelling at risk.

Minnesota Fringe is more than just a festival. It's where artists can take risks, challenge norms, and connect to audiences through joy, protest, and truth. But to remain accessible to all artists, we must raise $60,000 now, or we may need to DOUBLE producer fees. This negatively impacts the affordability of participation, making it harder for new producers and future artists to share their talents.

Since 1993, Minnesota Fringe has connected adventurous artists with adventurous audiences. Our programs serve as a vital space for artists from a wide variety of backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels to explore new ideas, make new work, and generate a livelihood. Minnesota Fringe as a beacon for freedom of expression and it is critical that we work together to protect this vital institution and see it thrive throughout these turbulent times.

You can help us meet our goal to raise $60,000 before January 15 by creating your own Minnesota Fringe Festival Fundraiser for Give to the Max Day! Simply go to the GiveMN home page, click on the plus sign in the upper right corner and select "Start a Fundraiser". Follow the prompts to create a fundraiser for Minnesota Fringe (EIN 41-1734179). We've made a Step by Step Tutorial to show you how! We've also included downloadable photos and prompts below to help get you started. Share why you love Minnesota Fringe with your personal networks to support our commitments to ensure the performing arts is accessible to all. 

AND AS A SPECIAL THANK YOU:

Anyone who creates a Minnesota Fringe Fringe Fundraiser and raises a minimum of $500 will earn a special link to apply to the 2026 Minnesota Fringe Festival General Lottery for FREE (any / all tiers)! And the person, group, or company that raises the highest amount through their individual fundraiser will given the choice of prizes:

• Waive Producer Fees (up to $675) for any producer (yourself or your favorite artist) in the 2026 Minnesota Fringe Festival
  - OR - 
• Three (3) Rush Line Passes good for passholder entry to every show (subject to availability via artist rush line) in the 2026 Minnesota Fringe Festival

All successful fundraisers will be publicly acknowledged during the Festival Lottery.
