Incredible acting (and great use of a minimal set)

A largely bare set and very few props meant the actors and story had to carry the show, and they did so with vigor. This production did a great job providing the noir feel the story and time(s) call for, and the actors were marvelous. Thoroughly enjoyed this piece!

Heartfelt, personal, intimate, and PIPES

It was lovely to hear the stories each performer shared, and one powerful effect is knowing you're not alone, for everyone who's faced bad behavior - in the art world or elsewhere - which is most of the artists & performers I know. And *wow* the singers were wonderful! Warmed my heart and raised goosebumps.

Who doesn't need more ukulele in their life?

Plucky is delightfully funny and has musical chops, and she made good use of props, tech, and story to make this an enjoyably ukulele- and ghost-powered interlude. She's also got great stage presence and clearly enjoys interacting with audience members. Recommended!

Fun, funny, and... a little heartbreaking

The opening song was an absolute delight, and I would've welcomed more songs - at least one or two - added to the performance, which would also have stretched it past what felt a little short (I wanted more time with the characters! and the story!). Set, props, and puppets were playful and fun, and Pistachio really sold it all. Worth seeing, and I'd like to see more in this universe someday....

Great acting, set, and use of the Kilburn's space

The set and blocking made great use of the both-sides-audience Kilburn theater, which can be hard to do. There were a lot of relatable pieces in the show - figuring out how to deal with grief when it's shared with family, the complicated dynamics of siblings and history - and I thought the acting was fabulous. They've figured out how to make the gelt work and the audience interactions were fun and, if not always integral to the show, provided necessary lifts to mood and pacing (and were a lot of fun!). I'm glad I managed to see this!

Goals and icons

Nissa and Sam are spectacular actors, and while I haven't been to many improv shows, I can't imagine there are many as good as this one. Funniest show I've been to all Fringe so far, and *well* worth seeing; one of very few I'm seriously tempted to see again.

Hilarious, thought-provoking, and inspired

I loved this show! The multimedia bits were well-used; the costumes and dancing were funny, delightful, and occasionally spicy; the storytelling was pointed while maintaining humor and humanity -- non-didactic but definitely educational -- and the final segment made me wish for an hour-long Tiffany HBO special, because she is a comic wonder. Highly recommended!!!

Aaaaggghhh I loved this so much

One of my favorite Fringe shows so far! DOOZY is a marvel; I hadn't put this on my list at all until Preview Night #1, which convinced me. The set, the props, the characters, the sound and lighting design, every piece of this is a delight. I had no idea until reading the other reviews that Destiny and this character have a history and other shows; she's going to the top of my list for every future Fringe 🤩.

Low-key very funny and relaxing interlude

There are no costumes or fireworks here, but Sufian tells his stories with delightfully sly humor and some lovely interludes of classical guitar (I am so envious of musicians sometimes, and this was one of them). Great storytelling, well worth seeing if you like humans or stories 👌🏼

Funny, astonishing, and sharp in the right places

I sat in the front row for this one and was very glad I did; Tyler is a marvelous clown and comedian, with some delightful tricks (in the technical sense), great timing, and expressive physical presence. He's also a great actor (I would donate blood to see him do Shakespeare, my God, the Edmund he gave us 🤯). The writing on this show is incisive and unexpectedly sharp in ways that last long after the ending bow. Highly recommended!

An intimate, well-crafted, human journey

Lethan is a great storyteller, and in this work he's telling a story that is his and so many others' (including some of my loved ones) and so very needed. His humor, empathy, vulnerability, and care in sharing the stories he does are refreshing and ultimately a joy to bear witness to.

Poignant, human, funny, and real!

I've been a runner before, and am currently a human, and have possessed a physical body as long as I can remember, and every piece of this show connected with me. I laughed (a lot!), teared up, and had a delightful time joining Eileen for this journey. The show's construction is adept, well-paced, and smart, keeping me enthralled the entire time - which is for me, a person with massive ADHD at the end of a day of many shows, a semi-major miracle.

A fun and often hilarious marionette show with a welcoming, creative, playful voice & some marvelous puppetry. Highly recommended!
