I think I maybe like solo shows now?
Eileen's story kept me captivated from the opening moment to the satisfying conclusion. Not only is she a superb writer, but her charming (not too self-effacing) performance was just pitch perfect! I felt seen in so many of the moments of the show. I laughed, I teared up, I considered re-taking-up marathon training? Fantastic show!

Gorgeous Design
Seriously, this might be my favorite lighting design of everything I've seen so far at fringe. The scenic elements were also well designed and really effectively used to create different places. As a physical theatre-trained performer, I loved the use of movement to tell story and this did not disappoint on that front. The non-human characters' movement and performance were all spectacular too! For me, the story was a bit unclear and the performances overall were inconsistent, which maybe prevented me from immersing into the world and understanding the story better. Still definitely worth a watch!

Eerie Fun
Although we knew the references, we kinda adored the glossary on the back of the program. The charming performances were a fun watch, and the set, lighting, and sound were really effectively used to create a sense of place and...horror! I would've liked to understand the relationship between the characters more, I think that would have heightened the stakes a bit and maybe made the inevitable end more of a "no don't!" moment. The fight choreography could have been a bit more believable. The use of fight props, however, was very effective to create fear. Overall, it's a fun show! Go see it!

I love it more than a baby in the snow!
Need your fears quelled? Look no further than these zombies with immaculate harmonies! Amazing physicality--surprising from first entrance to last goodbye--I only wish I could take them home with me to save me from all the dark.
