difficult watch

i appreciate all people who put the work in and show up on stage, it is always to be commended, but the play was offering only one note, a frantic energy with excessive yelling without any tactics or hooks to actually grab our attention (the thesis intention of the show). the movement was unrefined which resulted in a great lack of clarity and engagement. the gestures towards heart or meaning fell short creating a surface level ~investigation~ that pushed me further and further away from the actors. if FAST is the texture that you are exploring in the work, i would love to see other facets of what FAST means, the quality of it and how it integrates into the storytelling. i would have loved to hear about how themes of death of a salesman related to modern culture and why we actually should care about theater. i left the theater feeling more detached from theater than i was when i entered. if that was the intention, to dissect why theater pushes us away, then i would have loved to see that further articulated.

TSOLINIADHBHI is actually the best thing i’ve seen ever period. the music? spellbinding. the pacing? spot on. the acting? will break your heart. supermoon? call me a superfan ;) I could go on and on, just see it for yourself. these guys are on fire with this one. can’t wait to see what they do next.
