Bleeding with whimsy!
An incredibly strong cast. The delivery and comedic timing across the board was spot on. Absolutely beautiful physical comedy. A hilarious script, paired with strong direction and stellar actors- a recipe for a wonderful time. The classic theater stress dream, with a whimsical twist. Couldn’t recommend it more.

I left feeling sick to my stomach
The single kitty here goes to the truly stellar lighting design. I can’t stress enough that it was the only redeeming quality to the show. No amount of rehearsal could have rescued this script. From butchering every myth they discussed, to misusing SAT words, there was truly no saving it. For a concept with so much potential- I was grossly disappointed. It was clear very quickly that no amount of critical thinking and very little research was put into writing the show, resulting in a childish attempt at examining/dissecting gender identity and double standards in relationships. An attempt at playing on Jean Paul Sartre, came to be lazy philosophy- with monologues trying to “Trifles” masculinity and manhood. As a trans audience member, the ending genuinely made me feel physically ill- implying transitioning to be a “sacrifice” while showcasing incredibly dangerous chest binding techniques. I entered the audience intrigued and excited, and left disappointed and offended.

Clowning at its best!
Clowning is an incredibly difficult performance style. But this show gave a flawless demonstration of pure excellence in the craft. Their improvisation, with each other, with the audience, was consistently brilliant- moving completely in sync with each other from start to finish. And using the space to its maximum potential. The musical elements only enhanced their connection with the audience. Highly recommend.

Pure Brilliance
A stunning story of sexuality- told through some of the best partner work I have ever seen. Their exploration of masculinity and its interactions/intersections with latin culture was completely moving. Their use of costumes and their use of the space played so brilliantly together- complimenting all of the above. I will be thinking about this show for a very long time.

Brilliant Direction
This show was a completely immersive use of the space, keeping the audience on guard for whatever may be lurking around the corner. Excellent stage pictures, highlighted with practical effects painting gorgeous silhouettes. Minimalist design used to its maximum potential. Some of the best movement work I have seen onstage in a very long time. Truly a must-see.
