I Feel Jesus in the Barker Tonight
This show had simultaneously some of the most hilarious and some of the most awkward moments I’ve experienced so far at Fringe. Some beats and songs worked splendidly. Some did not (and most of the songs went on too long, in my opinion). I would’ve loved to see Charlotte used more. But the pastor has a stunning voice, and as a Christian, I found the concept and a lot of the digs at megachurches/cults very funny.

Dangit Ethan!
This show is the epitome of charming. We had kids at our showing, and the performer interacted so well with them. I’m normally not much for audience involvement , but this is audience involvement done WELL (no forcing audience to participate, but cheering on those who do). Definitely one of a kind, and I’m glad I took a chance on it. Sit in the front for the best view - marionettes are small!

Static Shock Reborn
I’m a simple gal - I see IMP is doing a show, I go to it. Long-form improv isn’t generally my thing, but the strength of IMP’s team, plus the innovation woven through this performance, meant I hated to watch it end. The live music deserves a special shoutout - I forgot it too was being improvised live at one point, as it was so perfectly suited to what was happening onstage (and the sound quality was excellent). If traditional improv isn’t your thing, this is a great way to experience the energy of the art form while knowing you’re safe (and laughing) with the pros.
