Melancholics Anonymous Forever!!! ššššš
Another year, another incredible Fringe show from Melancholics Anonymous. Who knew the whole troupe could sing like angels? A fervent, surprisingly profound dream-vision-from-your-childhood kind of experience. Thrilling in its scope and pacing. And the puppetry, as ever, made us gasp. This one is undoubtedly going down in Fringe history for us.

Best Fringe Play of Ever?!
I donāt want to say much here, but trust me: This is a must see experience for anyone interested in considering Lady Liberty in the context of Ibsenās A Dollās House and beyond. Love and freedom, and how and by whom they got so tangled in the first placeā¦Live soundtrack was unbelievable, too. Yes, best Fringe play of ever.

A subtle and honest family drama about letting go
A subtle and honest story about three siblings unpacking their family secrets while sorting through their motherās possessions. The skill and chemistry between the actors was excellent, and I found myself analyzing the family dynamics and wondering what might be revealed next. The unexpected use of the puppet as auctioneer for the hoard of belongings was fun for the audience and helped break up moments of emotional tension.

Solidarity forever!
From the opening troubadours (who played over the usual fringe message?! a first?? - or are they not doing it this year) to the inspiring final notes, this gripping union story succeeded on every level for us. The cast was exemplary in their performances, had us crying throughout (though we are admittedly extremely sympathetic to the cause). Iāll also give a nod to the ingenious practical effects and musical transitions. See this play, comrades! The day isnāt lost yet! Solidarity forever.
