Andrew Lester
Creator/Performer/Designer/ChoreographerAndrew Lester (he/him) is an award-winning artist who has been a staple of the Twin Cities dance community for almost two decades. Both a professional ballet and contemporary dancer, Andrew has called Shapiro & Smith Dance his artistic home for over ten years. He was also a full-time company member of James Sewell Ballet for six seasons. As a guest artist, he has danced principal roles with a variety of well-known Minnesota companies, including Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota, Metropolitan Ballet, Eclectic Edge Ensemble, Ethnic Dance Theatre, Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater, and the Minnesota Opera. Beyond Minnesota, Andrew has performed in New York City as well as toured internationally to the Toronto Film Festival, Festival del Pitic (Hermosillo, Mexico), and the Festival de Danse (Cannes, France). He's also had the good fortune to work with an array of celebrated choreographers, including Anna-Marie Holmes (former Artistic Director of Boston Ballet), Gabrielle Lamb (Pigeonwing Dance founder and 2020 Guggenheim Fellow), Darrius Strong (2021 McKnight Choreographer Fellow), and many more. As an actor, Andrew has performed with Siege Perilous Productions, Shadow Horse Theatre, and understudied at Park Square Theatre. Also an avid designer, he's created costumes for Freshwater Theater, done scenic design for the Phoenix Theater, as well as fabricated a host of props and costumes for various cabarets over the last decade. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he and Nichole have enjoyed building it together for you.
Nichole Carey

She has also taken her cabaret shows out of state, having performed at both the historic Duplex in New York City and Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret in Chicago. A published playwright, Nichole has written for several local companies including Freshwater Theater, Smartmouth Comedy Co., Theatre Unbound, and Jezebel Theater Company. She is also the director/writer/star of “A Very Carey Christmas Cabaret,” an annual holiday variety show that has sold out every year since its premiere at the Bryant Lake Bowl in 2018. She is a member of the Twin Cities Cabaret Artist Network as well as alumni of the prestigious International Cabaret Conference at Yale University, where she worked with such well-known artists as Julie Wilson, Amanda McBroom, Carol Hall, and Tony Award winner Faith Prince. While Nichole has performed in several Fringe shows over the years (The Flashlight Zone, Madame Executioner, and SmashHammer: The Heavy Metal Musical Featuring the Heavy Metal Stylings of the Heavy Metal Band, SmashHammer), she's especially excited to be producing and performing with her favorite scene partner in this year's festival.

As a director, some of her favorite credits include "Independence" with Chameleon Theater Circle, "Teenage Misery" with Devious Mechanics, and "Reclaiming My Time" with Jezebel Theatre Company for the 2019 Minnesota Fringe Festival. She is also the resident intimacy director with Lyric Arts, where she has worked on such productions as "Proof," "Little Women," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Girl on the Train, "The Wedding Singer," and many more. Megan Guidry
Stage ManagerMegan Guidry (she/they) is a theater transplant to the Twin Cities who now calls MN "home." In their decade living here, they have been luckily fulfilled with much theater and some film credits, both on the stage/in front of the camera (acting, improvising, singing, voice-over) as well as behind the scenes (directing, stage managing). Megan is currently the Associate Production Manager for Smartmouth Comedy Company. Most notably, Megan has performed on local stages such as the Crane, the Jungle, New Century, and the Rarig Arena. They have also worked with several independent theater companies and some larger theaters including HUGE Theater, Phoenix Theater, and Theater in the Round, just to name a few. Most recently, you will likely have seen them performing in the local musical "Norseplay" or stage managing for Wadsworth Theater Company's festival of one-act plays, both at the Phoenix Theater. This will mark Megan's sixth time participating in the MN Fringe Festival, and they're pleased to come back to it once again. They are super proud and excited to be a part of this production and hope you enjoy the show as much as they do!

**Content Warning**
Alongside nostalgia and whimsy, this show also touches on more serious themes including childhood trauma, loss, and grief.
Andrew and Nichole were high school sweethearts who bonded early over their love of performance. As adults, while their artistic pursuits took them in different directions, they always knew they wanted to make theater together. They were thrilled to get into the Minnesota Fringe Festival for the first time in 2020, only to have their aspirations dashed by the pandemic. Their mutual interest in children’s stories inspired them to create "When You Hear the Chime," a production that combines and showcases their many talents. Pulling from their own experiences, they can't wait to finally share this very personal and special production.
