Enjoyable and funny

I didn't see the other parts of the trilogy but never felt like was missing anything important. This show stands all on it's own.

A Villain With A Heart

The setup for this show was so fun - Motz plays a great cartoony villain! The stories were so vulnerable and honest. Motz used the venue space well, and his stage presence is incredible - captivated me for the full 60-minute army ant timer!

Facing the villain in all of us

Motz traces the trajectory of his own villainy with honest, heartfelt and often funny confessionals about bullying, infidelity, pride and the unreliability of selective memory. He has a warm and engaging storytelling style and the time flew.

Rhythms with Floats

Motz is a great storyteller and has fantastic stage presence. I did not see his first show in this trilogy, but really enjoyed last year's NPC and this was a nice addition to the theme, but fear not if you have not seen either of the prior shows as the overall content of the show is not dependent on familiarity with the earlier shows. Motz is on my list of artists to search out each Fringe season whether doing a solo show or part of a cast of something amazing.

Fortunately no carpenter ants

I kept waiting for the villain's plot to come to fruition. Fortunately, no fraying rope, no pit of boiling magma. Whew!

The Sequel to a Movie I Missed

During the entire runtime of this show, I felt…left out, I think is the best way to describe it. I didn’t see the previous shows in the trilogy, I don’t know the performer, so I didn’t find it as enjoyable as a lot of the people around me seemed to. He’s clearly an engaging fellow and a good storyteller, but the show seemed very thrown together and didn’t have much of a throughline. Not for me.

Masterful Storytelling

If there’s one thing to expect from an hour of storytelling with master of the craft Motz (rhythms with Boats) it’s you don’t know what to truly expect. From the vineer of villainous tropes comes a raw and personal confession of how our protagonist and in truth all of us, are capable of being both the hero and the villain in life, depending on who you ask.

Evil Motz

I liked this 3rd show a lot. Much less heart than the first two, but that fit with the theme. It was very funny and I laughed a lot! I enjoyed the concept and Motz is a great story teller, as always. Lots of heart and lots of laughs.

The Trilogy En-----

I've enjoyed all of the shows in Motz' storytelling trilogy, but this was easily my favorite. He finds a different way of interpreting and executing the villain story that challenges the audience spend their time guessing how such a kind, friendly guy is going to somehow be THAT villain. And then when it hits, you can choose to be mad at him or respect that he pulled it off. Either way, SUCCESS!

Evil Motz!

I love seeing Motz perform. Such a great storyteller, with another interesting twist in this solo show.
