Made me think

This is a very cool concept that wants to be a full show, and I hope they continue developing the script. I love the blending of themes of grief and loss with the morality and social use for AI.

Intense and suspenseful

The talent of the cast alone was enough to make me want to see this, and I was not disappointed. I loved the concept, the characters' struggles with the circumstances they found themselves in, and the stagimg in general. I wish it could have has more time to explore some of the darker elements further, but with the format and the amount of time they had, they still definitely made it work.

Engaging show!

I was worried this would be too depressing with the subject matter, but it actually stimulated some lively discussion afterwards. Solid acting, humorous moments, fun dance sequences, and a truly chilling AI representation. And we got to see actor Natalie Rae Wass in a completely different role (in Yo-Yo-Hum) directly after, which was fun to see her range of embodiment, characterization and accents across the two (very different) shows.

Intriguing Piece

I would love to see this show as a full production. I love shows that examine how AI and our lives intersect. I enjoyed the actors performances and also the different styles of dance/lights.

Mind bending concept

A+ for plot

I was looking forward to this, and the plot didn't disappoint! Though don't be worried if Sci-Fi isn't your thing (it isn't mine). It was a relevant, and somewhat realistic, view into the growing importance of AI in our lives.

Great acting from a tight script

This is a great show that stands out in what has been (for me at least) and outstanding Fringe Festival. The three actors were uniformly excellent, and the staging worked well in the Theatre in the Round. The dancing was unexpected but lovely, and contributed to the story. I'd highly recommend this show.

Actors Can't Save This Script

These very good actors try valiantly to make this script work, but can't do it. The script has unrealistic, clunky dialogue, and huge plot holes. Very nice dancing. But I was underwhelmed.

Sweet and sad look at what the future might behold for us. The choreography was lovely!

It’s great to see some sci-fi at the Fringe. This show would be worth an expanded script and scenic design.

Intriguing Show

Three brilliant actors present this very clever show. Don't want to spoil anything, so I'll leave it at that. I think everyone should consider supporting a small cast show when deciding what to see since support from Fringers is so important to their success!

Dreamily Done

The script was well written and well acted, and I felt invested in the characters. I really enjoyed the ending! Great work to the cast and crew

Lovely mix of emotion and concept!

Dream of Me reminded me a lot of an old style science fiction short story, only with with characters who were feeling real human emotions. I thought the cast did an excellent job of portraying a whole range of emotions, as a well constructed story about grief and loss turned into something more. Catherine Hansen gave a restrained, authentic portrayal of grief where other shows might have gone ham. Eric Jacobson was effective as he transited from sweet goof to something else. Natalie Rae Wass was admirable and polished as the humor, and the connective tissue holding it together. I thought the theater in the round space was well used… and the director had a good hand for the touches of horror. I’m torn between thinking the show started slow, or needed to breathe. Overall, excellent show.

Loved it all

What I loved - science not fully developed, the dancing, Natalie dealing with dreams as in her other show this Fringe, the changing color of flowers on the table. This was my first 5 star show of the day.

Intriguing story, decent presentation

Fun concept. Not an easy tale to represent on-stage vs 🎥. Energy was good. I had difficulty hearing/understanding the female lead, so I think I missed some key moments. Maybe save this one till tbe last days as things will loosen/tighten up?

Great Sci Fi Concept + Dance

This show fully develops its conceit while allowing room for the actors to breathe. The acting is excellent and dialogue sharp. The big surprise for me was the fabulous dance sequences. I was stunned stage actors could dance like that. Turns out they are professional dancers. Now I'm wondering how dancers can act so well.

Sci-Fi With A Heart

I really appreciate the ability to craft short-form science fiction, and to present it live is next level. This is a simple, very well presented piece with heart and the natural follow-on of sci-fi/AI danger. If you are familiar with the actors, you know they deliver. If you appreciate a tight tale told in the space of a Fringe slot, give Dream Of Me a try.

Cool Sci-Fi Show

It was nice to see Sci-Fi on stage as it doesn't happen often. It was a very cool concept and I enjoyed seeing it play out. Some beats were a bit stale and the steaks could have been higher, but I still had a great time.

Great Staging

Disclaimer: I am friends with several people involved with the creation and execution of this show. Dream of Me does an excellent job using the space of TRP and was a true in-the-round production. The music choices were on point and the dancing really helped to sell the dream sequences; great work by Jacobson and Hansen. No spoilers, but Wass makes an acting choice toward the end that was really keen. The divan set piece was a great choice for the space. Unfortunately, I was sitting in the section against which the lab sections were staged, so I didn't get to see any of those details at all. If you like science fiction and romance, this is the show for you!

Fascinating look at a concept of AI and it's use. Acting is superb. Dance scenes so well done. Glad the ending was more research required. Well done all.

Dancing With The Stars meets Black Mirror

Excellent concept and execution! This show examines the grieving process in a way that’s somehow all at once lovely, terrifying, and entertaining. The actors dance (both figuratively and literally) beautifully through pain, joy, and suspenseful sequences. Some solid sci-fi horror drama!

Great Concept in execution, a bit confused

The idea for the show was great, however the script felt clunky and the actors seemed to struggle to punch it up. I loved the dance sequences and the cooky best friend was great. Just clearly a hard script to make feel real.
