Great show!

Take the “T” Out was a super creative and positive play! I was blown away by what talented singers all of the kids are, the message of the play really shined through their voices. I also loved the interactive aspect because audience members could sign up to sing in the play during the scenes that take place at a karaoke show.

I like karaoke

I liked this show because I like karaoke. There were some nice selections, such as Lauren Daigle's 'You Say'. The show sends a powerful message about the importance of believing in yourself. One important fact- how this was based on a true story- would have been nice to hear when the show began, except it was mentioned only at the end. Saw the show because I have seen Silly Miss Tilly perform before, and one time I even performed with her. The show card had limited information on it, hearing more of what the show is about might be helpful to some potential attendees.

Simply AMAZING! Superb and very good message!

This was just enough of a show to bring my kids to, not too long not to short. This show explained how we have the power to give our selves more just by changing the way we talk to ourselves. If we change a few words around we can change our own mind. We can change our life story no to yes. We just need to take to T out. Change can’t into can and we can do whatever we want! This was very uplifting and hilarious and I can’t wait to see and hear what comes next for Silly Miss Tilly! Creative, smart, emotional, intelligent and funny- this simple yet eye catching performance made my fringe weekend!

PLAY on Words: PLAY on Thoughts

First, there were so many creative elements that flowed seamlessly through the performance from starting in one time frame and later to a dream state and back to reality. There were great transitions taking the audience from the home of our cast to performing at a local club with Silly Miss Tilly and an interactive portion where before the show began attendees are given a pen to write down a song they would like to sing, just like they would if they were at a karaoke show. A staff team member picks a person from those who turned in a karaoke slip and perform I the show...wow! So this play is never the same each show. BRILLIANT! Lastly, the message of fear and excitement eluding the same physical response is spot on. Thus a play on words can play on our own personal thoughts; which creates our own personal reality. The choice is up to us.

Upbeat, Yes You Can

I liked the show. There were some very strong voices among the cast. The numbers selected for vocals were life affirming and hope filled. The cast has a strong feature in the performance arts field. Some clever, creative but simple setting background pieces. I would remind the director that the Southern is a cavernous space, so a tad louder for the spoken parts please. If you want to support young, fresh artists go to this show!
