Cast and Crew
Chloe Irwin
Performer (River)
Chloe Irwin (she/her) is an actor originally from Omaha, Nebraska, currently studying in the BFA Guthrie/Actor Training Program at the University of Minnesota, where she’s been lucky to learn, grow, and occasionally survive on way too little sleep. Recent credits include Ariel in The Tempest with the Viroqua Shakespeare Festival, a witch in Macbeth with The Royal Shakespeare Company Education, Agatha in The Moors, and Rosalind in As You Like It, both at UMN. She also had the honor of performing in the world premiere of Away to Home at UMN. This is Chloe’s very first Minneapolis Fringe show, and she’s beyond excited to be part of a story that feels so relatable—as a college student powered almost entirely by late nights and Red Bull. When she’s not on stage or in rehearsal, you can find her thrifting, relaxing by the lake, or on an eternal quest for the perfect breakfast sandwich. Huge thanks to her mom, sister, and all her amazing friends for their constant love and support. Special shoutout to Corie Casper for writing a kickass show and trusting her to be part of it!
Ella Eastman-Kiesow
Performer (Maxie)
Ella Eastman-Kiesow is a performer, director, and creator based in the Twin Cities. She is a recent grad of the U of M theater and dance department, and currently works as a paraeducator and assistant director around the metropolitan area. Her most recent projects have included Anastasia (Concordia University), Midsummer Night's Dream (Combustible Company) and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (UMN). Ella is thrilled to be playing Maxie in this gorgeous, gorgeous, girl-studded show!
Iris Brantseg
Performer (Camille)
Iris is honored to be making her Minnesota Fringe debut as Camille in INSOMNIA DOGS! Iris was a theatre major at UMN Twin Cities, and last portrayed Henrietta in "Silent Sky" with UMTAD. After graduating, they appeared in an independent project for the Portals Showcase and two new plays for Kurt Engh's "Running Errands" event at Bryant Lake Bowl. Iris then took a much needed, near two year hiatus from stage performances and they used this time to explore other artistic passions like paining on and up cycling clothing, outdoor gardening, and various commercial and print work around the Twin Cities. Iris hopes that you come see INSOMNIA DOGS, because she is very proud of her friend's wonderful play and is excited to see how this process will evolve the script further in the future!
Lydia French
Performer (Joey)
Lydia is a local actor and UMN alum with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. While her recent projects have been on camera, she is absolutely buzzing to be back on stage. In addition to acting, Lydia also works in child development as an Infant Teacher and as a Teaching Artist with Park Square Theatre. She does other cool stuff too, frequently.
Vianney Cortes Perez
Performer (Odessa)
Vianney was born and currently lives in Minneapolis, MN but has lived in Rochester most of her life. She is 25 years old and graduated with an associate degree in Environmental Science from Rochester Community and Technical College. During her time there, she was involved with plays such as "Women", "Curious Savage", and "Boy Gets Girl". She is now studying Environmental Geography at the U of M twin cities. This will be her first time acting in the cities and she is beyond excited to be a part of “INSOMNIA DOGS”. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, learning from the people around her, and staring at the sky.
Bella Casper
Composer
Bella Casper is a Music Creative Technologies student at Rochester Community and Technical College. She has taken private music lessons in a variety of musical areas throughout her life, including voice, piano, guitar/bass, saxophone, and theory/composition. She has composed music for shows at RCTC and at Mayo High School, as well as writing songs in her free time. In 2022 she received an Honorable Mention for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Electronic Music Composition Competition in the High School category.

Cora has also worked on projects with Picnic Basket Theatre, Constellation Arts, and UMTAD. She worked as a stage manager and outside eye for Four Humors' "Rasputin" and Allison Vincent's 2024 Fringe show "Daddy Issues". Aside from theatre, Cora likes to write songs, make poetry zines, and she is passionate about climate justice. She would like to thank her family for all the love they give her.
