This guy.

This guy has been part of the Twin Cities independent theater community for over 25 years. In that time, he's been an actor, writer, director and producer working with companies including Theatre Pro Rata, the Brave New Workshop, and Theatre in the Round. He was one of the founding producers for the Twin Cities Horror Festival and in 2013 he established his own production company, Ghoulish Delights. Along with Eric Webster and Joshua English Scrimshaw, he created The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society podcast in 2016 and they continue to produce the weekly program and perform live audio dramas locally every month or so!

And over the last 25+ years, he has been part of a crapton of shows presented at the Minnesota Fringe Festival:

  • 5 Prisoners
  • 10,000 Comic Books
  • The Complete Works of William Shatner
  • The Curse of Yig
  • The Diamond Lens
  • Frankenstein: Two Centuries
  • H.P. Lovecraft's "The Rats in the Walls"
  • An Inconvenient Squirrel
  • The KBYE Now News Hour
  • Jumpin’ Jack Kerouac
  • Look Ma No Pants
  • Macbeth: The Video Game Remix
  • Macbeth's Awesome Scottish Castle Party
  • Man's Inhumanity to Fans
  • Melancholy London
  • Michigan Disasters
  • The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society Versus the Nazis
  • Robert Anton Wilson's "Masks of the Illuminati"
  • The Screaming Skull
  • Sex, Drugs, and Wacka Wacka
  • Shut Your Joke Hole
  • The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Dr. Jekyll
  • Three Billy Goats Gruff
  • The Tourist Trap
  • Wilhelmina and Theodore's Exquisite Victorian Adventure
  • Will the Real Superman Please Stand Up?

Don't miss your chance to attend theater created by someone whose work regularly needs to be qualified with the phrase, "No, really. This was a real show."

FIND YOUR WORDS

Welcome to This, my one-man storytelling show about the journey from a single word to a whole lifetime on stage in the Twin Cities (as well as sometimes talking to people like a more-or-less normal person). The world is probably going to end in 1988. But in case it doesn't, we'll stagger our way through the booze-soaked cabaret of Look Ma No Pants, get the boot from The Brave New Workshop, and hide secret messages in board games at Fantasy Flight Games.

The stories are ridiculous, bittersweet, and to the best of my dubious recollections, true.

Witness the latest creation from a Fringe artist who, after more than two and a half decades of work, has garnered such backhanded praise as:

"WHERE HAS THIS GUY BEEN?"

"I SAW YOUR SHOW AND THOUGHT, 'HUH. ANYONE CAN DO THIS.'"

"IT'S NOT THE WORST CHOLESTEROL I'VE EVER SEEN, BUT IT'S UP THERE!"

HERE'S WHAT I ANTICIPATE PEOPLE WILL BE SAYING ABOUT THIS:

"OTHER PEOPLE SEEMED TO BE ENJOYING IT SO I ASSUME IT WAS GOOD!"

"THIS SHOW CAPTURES THE TRUE SPIRIT OF THE FRINGE! INSOMUCH AS ITS INCLUSION WAS PURELY RANDOM WITH NO JURIED SELECTION PROCESS WHATSOEVER!"

"THE GENTLEMAN'S PRATFALL CLUB IS A COMEDIC GEM! JOSHUA AND LEVI HAVE IMPECCABLE TIMING!"

"AS SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIKE TIM UREN, SOLO SHOWS, STORYTELLING, THE MINNESOTA FRINGE FESTIVAL, OR THEATER IN GENERAL, THIS SHOW WAS NOT WHAT I WAS HOPING IT WOULD BE. VERY DISAPPOINTING. ZERO KITTIES. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND."

"IT'S LIKE ELAINE STRITCH AT LIBERTY WITH MORE PANTS AND LESS BRANDO."
