Cast and Crew
Jo Kalla
Director/WilliamsonJo Kalla was a native of Thymescira until she was voted off the island due to an overreliance on Cinnabon as her weapon of choice. Having appeared in other Fringe productions, she's really hoping this one will stick to your ribs.
Vivian Kalla
Assistant DirectorVivian Kalla is a rising senior at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she is studying mathematics and French studies with intentions of becoming a teacher. This is her second Fringe show; she was front-of-house for the 2024 production of "Thy Hard," also written, produced, and performed by Michael Shaeffer. Her love of the theatre began at age 3 when she starred in her elementary school's winter show. She loves using her skills to act like an adult even though she still lives at home. A huge thank you to my mom, my dad, my siblings, school theatre, and my mom again.
Michael Shaeffer
Sebastian Haff/writer, producerMichael Shaeffer's first Minnesota Fringe production was Cramming Cassandra in 2002. One of his costars, Jo Kalla, reunites with him for this show. You may also remember them from 2024's Thy Hard, a Shakespearean adaptation of Die Hard where part of the profits went to research and aid for dementia. Mike has a degree in theatre from SDSU (Go Jacks!). Mike is available to impersonate Elvis for bars, senior citizen centers, birthday parties, parole hearings, wakes, and other special occasions. His full-cast Shakespearean adaptation of Caddyshack--Caddy Shakes--will enjoy its Minnesota premiere in Northfield, Minnesota from Oct 23-Nov. 1st.
Paul Gleason
BlakePaul Gleason lives in Northfield, MN, where he maintains the second-worst yard on his cul-de-sac. Instead of mowing and weeding, he appears regularly on the Northfield Arts Guild Stage, most recently in The Winter's Tale, Shakespeare in Love, and The Glass Menagerie. This is his little apple debut.
Andrew D. Artley
Ricky RomaAndrew D. Artley is from Dundas, Minnesota. He has had a love affair with acting his entire life while appearing in a multitude of performance venues. He has had the honor of appearing on stage with his daughter Brynn Artley in "The Play That Goes Wrong" and appearing with his other daughter, Kiara Artley in Ben Wang's short film "Happy New Year, Jaime Morgenstern." By day, his alter ego works with clients helping them with their heavy equipment buying and selling decisions.
