Words kinda fail to describe (you'll see how this is meta when you go see the show.) I had a blast. This clown strikes perfect balance of gravitas and the little wink that whispers "hey... we're all having fun here" ;-) He brings ceremony into secular society in a way that's genuinely healing and silllllly. The sooner you buy in, the better time you'll have. Let this Maniac take you on journey - it is so so so worth it.

These two dark clowns had me rapt the whole time. Don’t Be Scared is a blast. It was exciting, felt dangerous, and sweet. Good games built throughout and delightful to feel the connection between two performers. As “dark” as you might assume the show to be, it’s quite accessible and warm. I can’t wait to see what they do next: good stuff ahead for these talented professionals!

Make time for this one if you can
my first alleged theater company show! I always tried to get in with an artist pass and obviously got turned away because they sell out LOL. I get the hype. I had such a good time. Theater _about_ theater can be annoying but this was heartfelt and accessible and took having fun seriously but didn't take ITSELF too seriously. Easy structure that helped me know where the plot was heading and made me feel cared for as an audience member. Pretty referential, not just to the source material, but to American pop culture of the past decade or so; if you're not familiar with the other shows/vibes/content they mention you might be lost but I WAS familiar so I was loooving it. My face hurts from Steph Callaghan - she had me laughing and smiling so much my mouth ached. Her performance was damn delightful and now I wanted very talented writer/director Jake to create spin-off solo show for her character. A must-see in my book. Can't wait to see what Alleged cooks up next.

This one is magic
Love love loved. Multimedia done right with purposeful projection; my eyes felt happy (lol?) in that they always had something beautiful/interesting to look at. Stillness used with such precision that sometimes freaked me out *and* sometimes gave me nice sense of rest. Music was stellar and wonderfully additive to the atmosphere. It's equal parts funny/moving that Lana del rey is a muse for this artist. her whole ~thing~ is especially appropriate for the ideas, vibes of this story and the source material. Another must-see from these creatives that make theater feel new and exciting and relevant.
