Autumn Goetting
Producer/ChoreographerAutumn Goetting (she/her) is a Minnesota native and lifelong dancer. She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2018 with her BA in dance under the tutelage of Julie Kerr-Berry and Daniel Stark. After graduating she moved to Orlando, FL to participate in the Disney College Program, and spent a season dancing with Emotions Dance Company before returning to her roots in MN. She danced in the MN Fringe Festival in 2022 and 2023, and decided to take the leap and produce/choreograph her own show for 2024. Autumn's previous choreography credits include productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Seussical the Musical, and the Pajama Game for her hometown theater, as well as a guest artist piece entitled "Body Love" for Emotions Dance Company. She continues to audition around the Twin Cities while also teaching at Inspiration Performing Arts Center in Mahtomedi. Autumn thanks her dancers for their patience and collaboration, and thanks Fringe audiences for their support.
Claire Achen
DancerClaire Achen (she/her) has been exploring the Twin Cities dance scene for a few years after studying dance at MSU Mankato and graduating with a BA in dance. She participated in Fringe in 2022 with Pacific Midwest Ballet in The Cupcake Murders and is excited to be involved in Fringe once again! Claire was most recently in Carmen with Ballet Co Laboratory last year and teaches dance at Inspiration Performing Arts Center in Mahtomedi. Thank you for supporting artists and the Fringe Festival!
Kennedy Jean
DancerKennedy Jean has been dancing since she was three years old. She found a great love for ballet and spent many of her dancing years developing skills en pointe. She taught dance over many summers and has recently been the choreographer for a few productions in her hometown of Spring Grove, MN, including The Wizard of Oz and The Drowsy Chaperone. She has spent the last three years at the University of Minnesota and will graduate next spring with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. She is so excited to be the dance student again this summer and feels lucky to be bringing her sister’s choreography to life! She wants to thank her fellow dancers for their hard work on these pieces and Autumn for her endless talents in putting this all together. Thank you for coming!
Liana Johnson
DancerLiana is a 2024 graduate from the University of Minnesota Dance Program with a BA in Dance and a Minor in Psychology. She has performed her own work and other student works in the University Dance Theatre showcases, as well as works by Shapiro and Smith Dance and Eva Mohn. In spring of 2024, she went to the American College Dance Association North Central Conference, where she performed in the Gala. In addition to contemporary forms, Liana has a love for tap dance, graduating from the Keane Sense of Rhythm Youth Tap Ensemble in 2021 and continuing to work with her mentors, Ellen Keane and Cathy Wind. In her free time, Liana likes working with fiber arts, baking sweet treats, and hugging her dog.
Kirsten Koerth
DancerKirsten Koerth is from Helena, Montana. Her undergraduate degree is in Biology and Environmental Studies at St. Olaf College. She took ballet and modern dance classes throughout her time there with Jennifer Bader and Anthony Roberts. Kirsten began dancing at Queen City Ballet Company at the age of 3, and studied under Cambell Midgely's mentorship until age 18. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in education at the University of Minnesota. Kirsten has performed in various classical ballets, including Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, and Giselle, in addition to other contemporary works. She is excited for her first Fringe performance!
Megan Marcy-Strelow
DancerBorn and raised in Anoka, Minnesota, Megan started dancing at the age of 3, beginning her training at State Door Performing Art. She then trained at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and graduated in 2012. In college Megan pursued a double major in Dance Edudcation and Seconary Social Studies Education at Minnesota State Univserity, Mankato where she performed in numerous pieces choreographed by students, faculty (Dan Stark and Julie Kerr-Berry) and Guest Artists (Giselle Mejia and Allison Doughty-Marquesen). Over the past 10 years, Megan has actively taught students of all ages in studios across Minnesota, specializing in jazz, modern, choreography, and improvisation. With 8 years of experience as a licensed K-12 teacher, she most recently joined the staff at Anoka High School directing the Dance Program and teaching a variety of History Courses. In 2020 she graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a Masters in Education in Arts in Education. As a performer Megan has worked on many projects around the Twin Cities including the 2017 Walker Art Center’s restaging of Merce Cunningham’s Field Dances, as a guest performer with Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (Matinee 2018), Loom Lab (Persephone 2018; Old Growth 2024), Wild Moon Movement (Mother, Maiden, Crone 2019) and RMT Movement (Able_To 2022) . When not working or dancing Megan loves to travel with her Husband Ryan or spend time binge watching Disney and SciFi movies and TV Shows at home.
H. Uyen Nguyen
DancerH. Uyen Nguyen works full-time in healthcare, part-time in event marketing, and dances at every chance she gets. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she took dance classes at the Barbara Barker Center for Dance. Uyen, who has been a part of the Zenon Dance Zone Program, has danced locally with Pam Gleason’s MotionArt, Marylee Hardenbergh’s Global Water Dances, Carol Oyanagi’s Neighborhood Dances, and nationally on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and Freddy Fresh & Andy Ictus’ music video for Hardcore Rocka ft. Tanto Metro and Devonte. She has danced in multiple flash mobs, including with Una Setia, Flash Mob America, Club Mob, and Super Bowl Crew 52. H. Uyen Nguyen appreciates the love and support from her family, friends, fiancé and dance community.
Emily Pitts
DancerEmily Pitts was raised in Minnesota, where she began training in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. She began training with Minnesota Dance Theatre in 2015 and began performing with their professional company in 2019. With the company, she performed work by Lise and Loyce Houlton, Elayna Waxse, Zach Manske, Alanna Morris-Van Tassel, Alexander Hille, Javan Mngrezzo, Nia-Amina Minor, and Zachary Tuazon. Emily currently serves as a dance instructor in the Twin Cities, specializing in ballet, contemporary, and modern technique. She also choreographs and has created work for MDT and local Twin Cities performances. Emily holds a B.S. in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development from the University of Minnesota.
Lauren Reed
DancerLauren Reed (she/her) is a Black-American dancer, creative, and scholar born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She began dancing in church at four years old and has always loved experiencing life through movement. She is a graduate of Bates College (2023) in Lewiston, Maine with degrees in Dance (B.A.) and Africana Studies (B.A.). She completed her thesis entitled “Rest & Resistance: Dance as Protest, Pearl Primus, and Black Women Claiming Our Deserved Rest” that investigates Black women using rest as a form of resistance against racist, capitalist, patriarchal structures that do not support Black women. She is currently based in St. Paul, Minnesota and works as an independent artist. When not dancing she enjoys, modeling, acting, singing, and cuddles with her cat Frankie. Instagram:@artist.lolo.reed
