Beautifully and empathetically performed. It was really cool to see this told from Jenny's community's perspective. I immediately recognized characters from my own life and who would have taken charge of what.

Beautiful portrayal of a story

Thoroughly enjoyed all performances on stage! I thought this was a thoughtful look into teaching others about heart trouble. And I also learned a lot as well!

Biased

Will totally admit that I am a biased friend, but I think you should go see this fringe play!

Sound and choreography were outstanding!

We appreciated this show: for a plot set mostly in a hospital, the actors did a fabulous job of using sound and movement to keep our attention. Without knowing the background, though (the writer had a similar situation) it was a bit tough to follow and my mind kept 'thinking' rather than 'appreciating:' why was she in the hospital for weeks when the surgery took 24 hours, how & when did COVID enter the situation?, was the patient portrayed by one of the four actors?. Most of these types of questions became clear, but well into the 60 minutes.

Serious Story, Told with Humor and Movement

The staging of this show was unique in a good way. The integration of movement was refreshing and a nice pause between each "segment" of the story. Surprisingly funny given the overall nature of the story, but still gives you an appreciation for what Jennie and her family were going thru.

Magnificent. Fun. Thoughtful. A must see

What if I told you there was a play that would make you laugh, cry, think, as well as educating you about sudden cardiac arrest? What might you think? Well, let me further explain that the show is performed by four magnificent actors with perfect comedic timing to a clever and well-crafted script across a stage where their movement, pantomime and props add wonderfully to the performance. I was surprised and amazed by this show. Hats off to the Justice Theatre Consortium and everyone involved in this production. It’s on my must see list.

Reality and A Hunger For Lasagna

A reality based show that uses humor to tackle a life and death situation. This four person cast keeps things moving. I learned somethings about heart trouble. This show should appeal to those who want some content with their entertainment. The lasagna reference was clever and made me hungry. There were times when I had trouble hearing the presentation when a cast member needed to increase her volume. I liked the show and it exceeded expectations.

cerebral and heartfelt (no pun)

When life serves you a crap sandwich... you eat lasagna. This show put me inside the head of Jenny. I could feel her heartbeat as her world was turned upside down. Daily lists outlined the clinical documentation of Jenny's recovery (a brilliant way to keep the audience up-to-speed) while the emotional side of healing was portrayed through dream-like dance. Friends and family frantically wanted to go to her side when Jenny needed them most (but damn COVID... or was COVID a good way of getting out of an uncomfortable situation?). The audience related to the I-don't-know-what-to-do pain of Jenny's loved ones. A heart puppet and clinical vocab brought on the after-school-special tone we all go through when hearing medical terms we never want to know. The action kept moving but wasn't afraid to breathe. Actors took on many roles and yet were one in telling the story. Bravo to the 4 who worked hard to make it all seem seamless. Lights and sounds enhanced the storytelling (although the music was a little loud when trying to hear actors). And kudos to the voice of Jenny's husband. My favorite part was the end (NO SPOILERS!).... maddening and loving all at the same time.
