Wake The Improv is a high-energy, interactive comedy and surreal theater experience in Minneapolis that blends fast-paced improv, audience participation, and magical theatrics.
The show invites the audience to step into their own subconscious, where performers transform real dreams and nightmares into fully improvised scenes. The evening is guided by the Dream Wizard, who is named by the audience and then “conjured” onto stage. The audience then chooses the secret word used by the wizard. Then the Wizard chooses dreams and nightmares from the audience before each troupe’s set, and can at any moment “pop up” to change the direction of the performing improv troupe, alerting the crowd to twirl their lighted wands into the air.
