Bollywood on Stage!

Bollywood music and passion, brought to stage. Vibrant colors, catchy music, beautiful and eye-catching dancing. Fun for both longtime Bollywood fans and newcomers (like myself)!

Cathartic

This show made my heart feel full. A grim topic on paper, but Alisson’s storytelling was so much more than that - open, funny, and gripping the whole way through.

Venue: Bryant Lake Bowl

Putting love to rest

An interesting take on love and loss set against the Bride of Frankenstein tale. They created a satisfyingly creepy world with sparse but well-chosen sound, lighting, and scenic design. It was a shorter show at 45 minutes, and I'm curious how they might have used that time to explore the themes further.

Company: Jackdonkey Productions
Show: The Dumb Waiter
Venue: Open Eye Theatre

Satisfyingly absurd

Great acting and use of Open Eye's stage. Suspenseful, funny, and an hour well spent at the Fringe.

Show: Last Pitch Effort

Delightful

A sweet story of friendship with fun music and lots of laughs throughout. The singers missed a note or two on their own, but transported us when they sang together - much like the characters themselves.

To grow up, or not to grow up?

Loved the dark and funny blend of the classic tale and play (and not being familiar with The Iceman Cometh did not take away from enjoying the show). It balanced poignant questions about growing up with plenty of uppers and downers that kept me enthralled for a great first hour of Fringe.

Company: Eye of Jupiter Theatre
Show: The Greenhouse
Venue: The Southern Theater

Strange and beautiful show

I was engrossed the entire time in this creepy and hopeful world. Interesting characters, intriguing questions, and beautiful visuals and music!

Company: Playabunga Productions
Show: The Life Robotic
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre

Funny idea, well executed

Basing a whole character's lines off of what the audience texts in could go so many different ways. The well-crafted show and strong improvisers made it all smooth and hilarious. Excited to hear about what happens at the rest of the performances!
