Show: Transition: A Story of Two Trans People Becoming Themselves
Venue: Mixed Blood Theatre

An orchestra on stage

I was amazed to see the quantity and quality of music in a Fringe show. Original songs for this show. This gave me a window into joys and concerns of being a trans person.

Company: Beta Fish Productions
Show: Welcome To The Food Chain
Venue: Strike Theater

So much energy!

Rob sang, danced, crawled, and portrayed so many creatures in this hour. I was entertained. This program had a bibliography and added a documentary to my video watch list.

Company: Pretend Productions
Show: Daddy Issues
Venue: Phoenix Theater

Recommend to caregivers

I sent the link to this show to coworkers and others who have been caregivers. Make a reservation and see one of the remaining performances. Don't wait!

Company: Theatre On The Rocks
Show: A Horse Walks Out Onto the Stage and Dies
Venue: Phoenix Theater

Thought provoking

I cried at the end of this show. I hope the nameless horse meets Misty again. There was some great commentary from other animals - kitty, cows, and pig.

Company: Transatlantic Love Affair
Show: 5 x 5
Venue: Open Eye Theatre

So much story is a short time

How has it been 9 years since TLA had a Fringe show? Welcome back! This was wonderful as always, though I had a hard time following Jurassic Park and Nosferatu. It's been more than 9 years since I watched either movie.

Company: Paper Soul
Show: Anti.Hero
Venue: HUGE Improv Theater

Fortunately no carpenter ants

I kept waiting for the villain's plot to come to fruition. Fortunately, no fraying rope, no pit of boiling magma. Whew!

Company: MaMa Faerie Productions
Show: Show Me Your Wings
Venue: Squirrel Haus Arts

Audience interaction I enjoyed

We audience members participated in several ways throughout the show. We got to write an aspiration, inspiration, or a phrase to leave for the world. The extended reflection on Medusa was thought-provoking. I liked the projections which accompanied Medusa. Sometimes a preview is the best 3 minutes of the show, here the show was event better.

Company: Linnea Bond
Show: Heart Ripped Out Twice And So Can You!
Venue: Barbara Barker Center for Dance

Can I give this 10 kitties?

This was Fringeness at its best. I needed tissues. There was that magic moment at the end where everyone is quiet soaking in the feelings and then the ovation begins. Over the past few years, friends and family have had heart surgery. Until this show, I didn't realize the pain just to breathe. Many (all?) of us chuckled at the post-breakup notebook of bad poetry. Too many good things to list. You need to make a reservation and see this for yourself!

Company: Team Rand-McKay
Show: Dream of Me
Venue: Theatre in the Round

Loved it all

What I loved - science not fully developed, the dancing, Natalie dealing with dreams as in her other show this Fringe, the changing color of flowers on the table. This was my first 5 star show of the day.

Company: Hey Rube!
Show: Yo-Ho-Hum: A Pirate's Midlife Crisis
Venue: Theatre in the Round

Loved the actors

There were talented actors in this play. The story didn't hold my interest so much. I think some of my favorite parts were when Tristram and Stede were lying on the stage reminiscing.

Company: Clear Power Vision
Show: “Cli-Mate ‘Just’-Us”: Renewable Comedy Meets Gay Love Adventure
Venue: Strike Theater

Cimate information with a twist

Some of the puns were creative on a tangent, some really stretched. I liked the things he had to say about climate. At times I felt that fewer puns would have gotten the point across better. One of the slides I want for my own work in climate advocacy.
